THE SULTAN OF DESSERTS
The name Baklava, conjures up an image of a mouthwatering delicacy steeped in the goodness of the finest ingredients. Baklava is a traditional dessert that was developed in the kitchens of the Tokapi Palace in Istanbul, Turkey where the Sultan presented trays of baklava to the Janissaries every 15th of the month of Ramadan in a ceremonial procession called the Baklava Alayı. It is a common dessert of Iranian cuisine, Turkish cuisine, Arab cuisine and the Middle Eastern cuisines. This world famous Turkish delight is now brought to Mumbai.
